20 Different Uses for Crates

Hi, friends!

I am cleaning my crafting room again because even a needle doesn’t fit in it there right now. As I keep finding scrap wood at dumpsters or curbside and I keep taking them home with me, I’ve used some to make some crates and put my stuff into to have it organized.  It turns out that we can not only use them to sort things out, but they have much more creative uses.

Here will you find 20 different uses we can give them. It clicking on the image it will take you to the source.

Hi Pili, These are beautiful. I especially like the desk and the dog bed. I have two old pallets outside that I need to do something with. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Monica! Yes, there are some good ones! I did a crate for my dog as well, it’s so cute I couldn’t resist.

It is hard to imagine that crates can look good but there are some lovely ideas in this list of 20. Thanks for giving us some new ideas at #AnythingGoes.

You’re right, Renard! I would have never thought they can be used as a desk…
Thanks for stopping by, and welcome to my crazy world of ideas and repurposing 🙂

All of these projects are amazing! I especially love the ottomans, I think I may need to make one! LOL Especially with the logos on them. So stylish, unique, cool! Thanks for compiling all these projects, pinning so I can make this in the future! Just wanted to tell you I love the crate you did with the plant inside!!! So pretty.

Hi Nikki! This compilation helps me to decide when I need some inspiration. Today I found some drawers next to the dumpster but had to pass on as they were full of woodworm and it’s too much work for a little drawer… but I’ll keep looking for more! My crate came from the Monster…

That little accessory holder with the blue mason jars is adorable! Love it! Thanks for linking up last week at the Welcome Home Wednesday Link Party! Can’t wait to see what you share with us this week… the link up will be live tomorrow at 7am CST!

Yes, I am in love with that as well!! They do even bigger crates of different colors, love them all!
Thanks for stopping by Betsy! I’ve linked at the party this week as well 🙂

So many brilliant ideas Pili. I’ve been hunting for crates for a while now and finally decided just to make my own. They’re never the right size. Looks like I’mm going to have to make a lot more after seeing all this inspiration 😉

  8. Kathy A says:

Thank you so much for rounding up these ideas. I NEED to find a bunch all the same size; my future craft room doesn’t even have a PATH! I would cover the walls with them for storage and be (almost!) organized. I have found one so far–a Maine blueberry crate which isn’t unusual as I live in Maine but I want more and deeper ones!

  9. Pili says:

I bet your craft room will be amazing with the idea you have for it. Maybe you can find more crates at a local grocery or market, or even make your own.
Thanks so much for stopping by, Kathy!
