All You Need Is Love – Frame Makeover

Hi everyone! Today I’m going to show you a pair of pictures I am in love with. They came out from the idea / need of 1. Recycle two old pictures my mother in law had in her house and 2. Fill in a gap on my bedroom wall.

These were the before pictures

I imagine that when she bought them they were like wow, but I was just interested in them because of the frames. Then I left them on the don’t-thow-it-honey-I-will-make-something-with-it cabinet for some time because I had no clue what to do with them yet until we finished our master bedroom redo. There was a gap in the wall between the picture I did for my husband and my jewelry holder, and the pictures were going to fit perfectly. By the way, I’ll try to show you my bedroom soon.

Well, back to the pictures, the first thing was to clean and paint them with homemade chalk paint, and when they dried I dry brushed a bit of gray to add some color, and some wax to finish.

I searched through all my images something that could fit, but I found nothing I really liked. Then I thought I could make myself something romantic, maybe some quotes with nice letters and details, and I ended up with these two prints.

As the frames were bigger than the prints, I added some beige cardstock behind them which coordinates with the colors I have in my bedroom.

The last thing to do was to hang them between the big frame I did for my husband on his birthday and my jewelry holder.

Yes, I know what you mean. Maybe we feel summer is almost over and sense we have to arrange our nest for spending more time inside home.

Yes, sometimes people get rid of frames because they look old or ugly, but they can be pretty again.
