Christmas Decoration At No Cost

I know it’s not Christmas yet, but Christmas decoration is up on many places. And also if you are like me, then you want to be prepared and avoid the last minute rush trying to do nice things for the home.

When we talk about decoration we use to think about spending a lot of money there, but I want to give you some cute ideas at (almost) no cost.

If you like any of them, you will find the source below the picture. That way if it has a tutorial it will help you make your own version.

Let’s go!

Christmas Decoration At No Cost

1. Chic chairs

Adding a thick ribbon to your chairs will make a great impact to your home decor. Also, a bit of greenery and pinecones and you are ready. It’s something easy and you can keep the ribbons and pinecones for next year.

If we said that toilet paper rolls are something all houses have, the same happens to cans. It doesn’t matter if they are bigger or smaller, you can make lots of Santa cans and even give them as presents.

7. Plastic spoon Christmas tree

How cool is this one? Better if done with used plastic spoons (and washed of course) because we all know plastic is hard to recycle.

I love Christmas and I saw yesterday in Mercadona that they had all the polvorones and turrones out already and yes….a little bit early for me, but hey, we’re in November and I like to prepare too. These ideas are fabulous and I actually made a similar toiletpaper wreath the other day already. They are so cute!

    • Pili says:

Yes, soon we’ll be eating turrones at the beach haha! We still have stars and yarn balls from other years, but we are inspired now!

  2. Tracey Abrahams says:

So many fantastic ideas here. I love tje spoons tree. I am going to bookmark this for further reference.#anythinggoes

    • Pili says:

Hi, Tracey! Yes, there are lots of wonderful ideas here, and the spoons tree is one of my favorite. I need to have a look at our party box to see if we have some spoons left from the last party

    • Pili says:

We made the yarn ornaments three year ago and people love them. Plus, they are so easy to make…
Thank you so much for stopping by

  3. sue says:

Oh these are all so beautiful Pili. I’m going to try nearly all of them. I’ll send you a photo if they work. Thanks for linking up with us at #AnythingGoes and see you next week.

    • Pili says:

Yes please, I would love to see them! I’ve been wanting to have a folder to show “others” projects but people seem to be shy.

  4. Mary-In the boondocks says:

Pili these are so cute and totally doable. I’m gonna share some of these with my girls. And of course I’m pinning. Thanks for the head start so we can get going with our Christmas decorations. I think this year may be the first where I actually put the tree up before Thanksgiving..

    • Pili says:

Mary, I’ve been looking for easy and affordable projects so every body can give a try. Sometimes the simplest things are the prettiest. Let me know if you or your girls make any of them, I would love to see it!

    • Pili says:

I love that time of the year too, Amanda. The only thing I don’t like is the cold!
Thank you so much for stopping by

    • Pili says:

I think this is the first year I started thinking about Christmas so early, but I’m happy I did it! I hope I won’t need to rush… fingers crossed

  5. Leanne@crestingthehill says:

I’m not a great DIY-er but some of these were really nice – I particularly liked the wreath (but I bet mine wouldn’t look like that!) and you’d need to have saved up a lot of toilet rolls!

    • Pili says:

Well Leanne, it depends on how many people do you have at home . I haven’t tried the wreath either so I can’t tell you any advice on this

    • Pili says:

We did some of them some years ago and our friends love them! We also added some glitter because, what’s Christmas without sparkle?

    • Pili says:

I love doing things for Christmas because of the girls. Once Halloween is over they ask me almost daily when is Christmas… I think it’s because we use glitter more than usual

    • Pili says:

I’ve been wanting to make the Santa tin for so long… I even have the belt, now just need some plants! Love you find them inspiring

  6. Misty says:

I love the pine cone Christmas trees! We love to do crafts as a family and are inspired to try a few of these. Blessings always. Misty.

  7. Betsy says:

Thanks for sharing all these festive ideas at Vintage Inspiration Party. I love all of them, but my favorite has to be the chairs with white covers and wrapped with a big bow.

  8. Life Loving says:

The chair ribbons/decorations are so pretty. So effective but yet really simple to do. I love Christmas crafts, they are by far my most favourite but at a time when I have no spare time. It’s such a shame. You’ve got a great collection of smart Christmas ideas here. Thanks for sharing them on #LifeLovingLinkie I look forward to seeing you again next week Pili.

If I do get the chance to get crafting before Christmas I’ll share my creations.

    Sally @ Life Loving

    • Pili says:

Yes, the chair ribbons are just wonderful, and they can be stored and used next Christmas. I like to make things which I can use more than one year.
I’d love to see what you do if you find some time for that, Sally

  9. Nikki Frank-Hamilton says:

There are so many things on this list that I love! The string balls, the santa can and the bows on the chairs look gorgeous!! But for me the one that takes the prize is the wreath made from the toilet paper rolls, so cool! And we all have toilet paper rolls, all of us! LOL

Totally right, those are my favorite two words, cute and inexpensive. Glad you can have some inspiration from them.
