DIY Coastal Signs

Hey, guys! It’s still hot here and I keep finding things that I didn’t want to throw away just in case were handy some day, and for some of they that day arrived this week.

Some time ago I shared here on the blog how much my husband loves me when one day he went to walk the dog and came back with a nearly destroyed Ikea table for me to makeover. Isn’t that love? He thinks I am Superwoman or something like that! If you want to see what I am talking about you can read about it in this post.

As I still had some legs from that table and was not getting rid of them by any means, I planned to make something I could see every day and that would bring me joy every time I looked at them. Being summer my favorite season and aqua/turquoise one of my favorite colors, I had an idea, I would do some DIY coastal signs

I started with this

Sea Sand Sisal Signs 1

But ended up with this

Sea Sand Sisal Signs 5

This way I can remember summer all year long!

Sea Sand Sisal Signs 6

Love how they look close to the DIY votive candle holders I made too. There’s no need to spend a lot of money on home decor when you can make your own!

If you want to check all the process step by step for creating your own DIY Coastal Signs you can check the full tutorial I’m sharing at Knock Off Decor.

I hope you like them as much as I do!

Pili what a great repurpose of old wood legs. I really like the different shades you painted them. They look similar but just different enough to add interest. Now this will keep you happy and always remind you of summer.

Beautiful and such a brilliant use for the legs. I would never have thought of doing this and you’re right they do look stunning with the votive candle holders. May your summer memories last forever

Awesome repurpose Pili! I love summer decor as well and that colour is so bright and fresh, like the sea! I like how you used different shades of turquoise and the font goes really well with it!

Pili, so sweet of your husband to think of you when seeing broken tables! I love what you did with the legs! The sea, sand and sisal cries out “Summer!”
