How to Choose the Right Bathroom Vanity Set

Hi, my sweet friends!

I’m back with my new house series, you will remember our kitchen and our bathroom. It is not that we have been restless all this time but we’ve been fixing some major issues/eyesores.

We didn’t use the bathroom upstairs too much; in fact, it was only me because my craft room is next to it and I wash my paint brushes and other stuff there. Some months ago my oldest daughter decided she was old enough and wanted to stop sharing room with her sister and move to the room upstairs. This means we need to work on the bathroom too.

There is nothing wrong with it, just it is too plain. Like this.

I have been doing some online research for inspiration and I have found so many inspirational bathrooms… a girl can dream, right? You can see them on my Pinterest Board.

Finally, due to the limited space we have, we thought it would be a good idea to buy a bathroom vanity, something like this.

We don’t have -yet- the DIY skills necessary to build our own so I think something like this can be perfect for now.

This one stole my heart. I love faux drawers so much! You may remember my faux card catalog, it’s one of my favorites.

Again I did a research about all the options, not only about buying one but also if we could install it by ourselves.

All About Bathroom Vanity that You Should Know

A bathroom vanity is a cabinet that sits under the bathroom sink. It often includes a marble or tiled top, which can be used to keep items like toothbrushes, soap, or makeup at hand. Sometimes, a vanity will be sold with a sink receptacle, but most often, a sink and faucets are sold separately.

There is a range of sizes and styles of floating vanity available. For a person who is choosing one, the size of the bathroom is an important consideration. Often, a style of bathroom vanity will be sold in several sizes to accommodate the space available.

Mirrors or medicine cabinets that sit above the sink are included with some styles, although they sometimes need to be purchased separately as well. The vanity itself may actually not resemble a cabinet in some modern variants, but may just be a sink that is on a stand or attaches to the wall. These varieties often work well in smaller bathrooms.

The larger bathroom vanity may provide needed storage and a place to stow things that the homeowner doesn’t want to be displayed. Some come equipped with both a cabinet area and drawers where washcloths, razors, or the like can be stored. People who choose to store chemicals for cleaning the bathroom and have children should choose a vanity that can be locked so children cannot gain access to dangerous items.

➢ BUYING BАTHRООM VANITIES

Trying to renovate your bathroom? A bathroom renovation project can be costly, especially since you not only need to spend on rebuilding and redecorating. You also need to allot resources for buying a new form of vanity to go with your new bathroom. If you don’t want to spend too much on this bit of expensive item, you can try looking for wholesale double vanities for sale. The beauty of buying bathroom vanities in bulk is that you can always enjoy the friendliest of prices.

However, going for wholesale wall mounted bathroom vanity sets do have its trade-offs, the most important of which being compromising your choice of model with the savings that you want to enjoy. If you are going for bulk, don’t expect the model that you want to be on sale. Aside from expecting some compromises in terms of your design choice, you should also be ready to received items with slight imperfections or factory defects. The reason why some manufacturers put free standing vanity on sale is to be able to dispose of flawed products. Usually, though, the flaws are nothing serious or obvious but may be something that you should always keep an eye on. After all, vanities are important because they keep the sink as well as the countertop in place. They also house the plumbing system and serves as the storage for all your other bathroom items. As such, it is important that any potential cause of malfunction be addressed promptly.

➢ PICKING THЕ PЕRFЕСT BАTHRООM VАNITY

The bathroom vanity is one of the largest decisions that you will make in regards to your bathroom remodeling project. There are many great choices available to you and all of them can work, depending on what your goals are. You want to find the bathroom style that works for your interests and tastes and you want to be sure that it functions the way you need it to. There are two major options that you have in bathroom vanities. You can select a built-in or a freestanding.

• What’s The Difference?
A wall mounted vanity in one that looks like it belongs as part of the bathroom’s structure. It is a solid countertop that will install against the wall. You can also select a free standing bathroom vanity. These offer a wider number of options. They are also more fitting for the contemporary style of bathroom. You will find that these are better for visual space if you have a small sized bathroom.

• Vanity Tops
Once you know the type of bathroom vanity you will use, determine which the best top is. The most common types include ceramic, marble or granite. In most, the sink is part of the top, forming one solid unit. Or, you may want to consider a version that offers a cut out so that you can position the sink you select into it. If you are looking for something completely unique, you may want to consider having a bathroom vanity top made for you. Custom made options give you more options to choose from and the shape and size that fits perfectly.

• Installing Your Vanity Yourself
Although you can install your bathroom vanity yourself, you may want to realize that the job can be a difficult one. You will want to be sure you can handle such things as the plumbing and drains. Many of today’s products are designed to be easier to install, though. Connecting points can be difficult for anyone. Most of the problem comes from the small space that you will be in trying to get things to match up. While it may take a few extra minutes, you can accomplish this task with patience and flexibility. If you decide to do it on your own you can make a research online, there are multiple YouTube tutorials for it.

Speaking of potential cause of malfunction, it is also advisable to look at the material that the vanity is made of. Make sure the material is sturdy enough to withstand wear and tear, including exposure to moisture. Some materials like pressboard are not so good at taking in moisture, so you might want to stay away from this, especially when you are buying bathroom vanity sets by the bulk.

I too am looking forward to seeing what you do with your bathroom Pili. It is very nice a good solid foundation for you to work with. Many times we have bathrooms that need more storage. Mine does but there is no room for it.
