I know it’s not Christmas yet, but Christmas decoration is up on many places. And also if you are like me, then you want to be prepared and avoid the last minute rush trying to do nice things for the home.
When we talk about decoration we use to think about spending a lot of money there, but I want to give you some cute ideas at (almost) no cost.
If you like any of them, you will find the source below the picture. That way if it has a tutorial it will help you make your own version.
Let’s go!
Christmas Decoration At No Cost
1. Chic chairs
Adding a thick ribbon to your chairs will make a great impact to your home decor. Also, a bit of greenery and pinecones and you are ready. It’s something easy and you can keep the ribbons and pinecones for next year.
Via Internet
2. Pine cones Christmas trees
We all know pinecones are so easy to use as Christmas decor. These seem like little trees; you can paint them or leave them natural, add the star on top and a little pot and your are done!
3. Toilet paper roll star
Your kids will be happy to help you with this one. Who doesn’t have a ton of toilet paper rolls waiting to upcycle? Don’t miss the oportunity to transform some of them and use them during the holidays.
4. Ornaments from light bulbs
Light bulbs are very versatile, you can wrap them to make faux fruits or you can cheer them up with a little bit of glue and glitter. What is Christmas withour glitter?
Via My Sweet Things
5. Yarn snowy ornaments
These yarn ornaments are a classic. Few things are more fun and easy to do than these ones, especially if you use glitter to make a frosted ornament.
Via Martha Steward
6. Santa can
If we said that toilet paper rolls are something all houses have, the same happens to cans. It doesn’t matter if they are bigger or smaller, you can make lots of Santa cans and even give them as presents.
Via Saw Many Ways
7. Plastic spoon Christmas tree
How cool is this one? Better if done with used plastic spoons (and washed of course) because we all know plastic is hard to recycle.
8. Cupcake wrap Christmas garland
These little Christmas trees are beyond adorable, and they are so easy to make! Take one step further and use them for a Christmas garland.
Via One Perfect Day
9. Stemware snow globe
You need few things to make this Christmas decoration and you’ll have all your guests thinkink why they didn’t think of that before.
Via Family Chic
10. Plastic snowballs
Another awesome use of plastic. You can hang some of these on your Christmas trees and also you can make a bunch to hang around the whole house.
11. Paper trees
This easy craft can be done with little helpers as well. Also you need few materials and it’s really budget friendly.
Via Loppelilla
12. Toilet paper wreath
We talked about already the toilet paper rolls and this is another example of the nice things we can do with them. Isn’t that red flower the icing on the cake?
Via De todo y nada
I hope you found the inspiration you were looking for!
We don’t need to spend lots of money to be surrounded with pretty things for our homes as you can see from all the examples above.
Thanks for stopping by and remember to share this with your friends so they can make Christmas decor at no cost!
Hugs,
Pili

I love Christmas and I saw yesterday in Mercadona that they had all the polvorones and turrones out already and yes….a little bit early for me, but hey, we’re in November and I like to prepare too. These ideas are fabulous and I actually made a similar toiletpaper wreath the other day already. They are so cute!
Yes, soon we’ll be eating turrones at the beach haha! We still have stars and yarn balls from other years, but we are inspired now!
So many beautiful ideas! I love Christmas and I’m searching for Christmas ideas since October too!
Hi, Ntina! We have our heads thinking all days of the year!
So many fantastic ideas here. I love tje spoons tree. I am going to bookmark this for further reference.#anythinggoes
Hi, Tracey! Yes, there are lots of wonderful ideas here, and the spoons tree is one of my favorite. I need to have a look at our party box to see if we have some spoons left from the last party
These are great ideas – really love the yarn ornaments. Visiting from #AnythingGoes
We made the yarn ornaments three year ago and people love them. Plus, they are so easy to make…
Thank you so much for stopping by
Oh these are all so beautiful Pili. I’m going to try nearly all of them. I’ll send you a photo if they work. Thanks for linking up with us at #AnythingGoes and see you next week.
Yes please, I would love to see them! I’ve been wanting to have a folder to show “others” projects but people seem to be shy.
Pili these are so cute and totally doable. I’m gonna share some of these with my girls. And of course I’m pinning. Thanks for the head start so we can get going with our Christmas decorations. I think this year may be the first where I actually put the tree up before Thanksgiving..
Mary, I’ve been looking for easy and affordable projects so every body can give a try. Sometimes the simplest things are the prettiest. Let me know if you or your girls make any of them, I would love to see it!
Lovely ideas put together. I just love Christmas and all that goes with it!
I love that time of the year too, Amanda. The only thing I don’t like is the cold!
Thank you so much for stopping by
There are some really cute idea here! I’m ready to get started on some things so I don’t have to rush around later!
I think this is the first year I started thinking about Christmas so early, but I’m happy I did it! I hope I won’t need to rush… fingers crossed
I’m not a great DIY-er but some of these were really nice – I particularly liked the wreath (but I bet mine wouldn’t look like that!) and you’d need to have saved up a lot of toilet rolls!
Well Leanne, it depends on how many people do you have at home . I haven’t tried the wreath either so I can’t tell you any advice on this
i love those toilet paper rolls made into a star. Such a great idea and I think I’ll try it this year.
We did some of them some years ago and our friends love them! We also added some glitter because, what’s Christmas without sparkle?
Time flies, doesn’t it?
We don’t do much for Christmas, but I love seeing what everyone is doing. 🙂
I love doing things for Christmas because of the girls. Once Halloween is over they ask me almost daily when is Christmas… I think it’s because we use glitter more than usual
Love this! so much so I’ve Pinned it ! 🙂 #WAYWOW
Many thanks Charlotte!! Really glad you find them inspiring!
These are great ideas, I pinned them so I can make them soon!
I would love to see what you do, Cheryl!
What a great roundup! It’s fun being able to repurpose things into new fun things. My favorites are the Santa tin can and the pine cone tree.
I’ve been wanting to make the Santa tin for so long… I even have the belt, now just need some plants! Love you find them inspiring
I love the pine cone Christmas trees! We love to do crafts as a family and are inspired to try a few of these. Blessings always. Misty.
I’m really happy these inspired you, Amy! It’s great you craft together as a family
Thank you so much for including Mod Podge Rocks. I’ll be sharing! xo
My pleasure, Amy!! I am collecting all my light bulbs for this Christmas
Thanks for sharing all these festive ideas at Vintage Inspiration Party. I love all of them, but my favorite has to be the chairs with white covers and wrapped with a big bow.
Thanks for stopping by, Betsy! I must admit those chairs are gorgeous
Pinned…..Thank you for sharing with us at #JoyHopeLive!

Thank you so much for letting me know, Marilyn!!
The chair ribbons/decorations are so pretty. So effective but yet really simple to do. I love Christmas crafts, they are by far my most favourite but at a time when I have no spare time. It’s such a shame. You’ve got a great collection of smart Christmas ideas here. Thanks for sharing them on #LifeLovingLinkie I look forward to seeing you again next week Pili.
If I do get the chance to get crafting before Christmas I’ll share my creations.
Sally @ Life Loving
Yes, the chair ribbons are just wonderful, and they can be stored and used next Christmas. I like to make things which I can use more than one year.
I’d love to see what you do if you find some time for that, Sally
There are so many things on this list that I love! The string balls, the santa can and the bows on the chairs look gorgeous!! But for me the one that takes the prize is the wreath made from the toilet paper rolls, so cool! And we all have toilet paper rolls, all of us! LOL
Haha you’re right Nikki, all of us use toilet paper lol. We have tons of TP waiting to be used
Oh my goodness these are all brilliant!! Thank you for sharing with #frifree4all. I am Christmas mad so I’m so excited after reading this post!
I’m really glad you like them, Hayley!!
So many lovely ideas Pili, I can’t even decide which is my favorite. Maybe I’ll just have to try them all 😉
I’m sure you can do great decorations, you have a brilliant mind.
That chair idea is just brilliant—something really anyone can do!
