DIY Star Envelope Pillow Cover

We are still enjoying summer, in fact, we are normally in flip flops and short sleeves here around the end of October. That’s why we decided to finally buy a pergola for our patio and be able to enjoy it more.

We’ve been working on the patio quite a lot though there are few things missing. Nevertheless, the most important things are there. If you are a regular reader then you know I keep finding stuff all.the.time!

I found some pallet wood and a mattress that I used to make the seating, but recently I found two square ones that would look awesome as a table, so I replaced the colorful slat table for another one. It’s not finished, I just stuck one above the other and I’ll be working on them whenever I can find some free time.

Anyway, we had the pergola, the seating, the new table, I also built a planter for an odd corner we have up there, and I wanted some pretty pillows. As I had the fillings already, I only needed to make some covers. Easy peasy! I love stars so much, look at the faux metal stars I made for my living room, so I decided I was going to make a DIY star envelope pillow cover. Yay!

Pili it really looks great. I love that whole area. And you were very smart to buy a pergola. I know just how hot it can get and it’s a shame to not be able to go outside because of the heat. Those pillows add such a pretty touch to your outdoor decor.

Yes, I was tempted to build my own pergola, but as we don’t know how long will be staying here I preferred to buy this one because we can take it with us when we move again

Pili, your patio area looks so comfortable, a great place to hang out for the summer! I really like how you’ve decorated and set things up there. The star pillow is such a wonderful accent piece. I hope you find time to enjoy this lovely setting.

Thanks so much, Keri!! I don’t have as much time as I would love to enjoy it, but we do have fun when we are together having dinner or just relaxing after a busy day

Your patio looks awesome Pili, the perfect place to relax, dream and create all the beautiful things. Loving your envelope and star pillows and the pallet couch and table, just lovely.

Many thanks, Michelle!! I love the look of the pallets, I find it really cozy and the best thing is I can keep adding “furniture” at no cost

Thanks so much, Jodie!! The sun here in Mallorca sure beats us down, but no more with our pergola. Now we still have months to enjoy being outside.
